ART TRAIL PLATFORM
The Mobile Pass Built for Art Trails
Turn your sculpture trail, mural walk, or public art tour into a guided, gamified journey. Visitors check in at every piece, learn the story behind the artist, and complete the trail — and you finally get the data to prove the impact.
Powering engagement for leading organizations

THE PROBLEM
Why most art trails struggle to reach their audience
Static maps and printed brochures don’t tell visitors who the artist is or why the piece matters. QR codes on each sculpture lead to a different web page — or nowhere at all. Pieces are spread across neighborhoods, and most visitors only ever see the two or three closest to where they parked. After the trail wraps, you’re left guessing — Did anyone visit? Which artists got the most attention? Did we reach beyond the usual gallery crowd?
THE FIX
An Art Trail Pass solves all of it.
- No app to download
- Every sculpture, mural, and installation in one place
- Artist stories, photos, and inspiration at every stop
- Every visitor captured as a first-party contact you own

Peoria County Bison Trek: America 250
PEORIA COUNTY, ILLINOIS
The Peoria County Bison Trek turns the county’s 200th birthday celebration into a county-wide public art adventure. More than 40 life-sized fiberglass bison — each painted by a different local artist, sponsored by a local business, school, or organization — are installed at parks, downtowns, and storefronts across Peoria County. Visitors follow the herd, check in with a selfie at each sculpture, and uncover the story behind every artist and sponsor along the way.
Originally launched for the county’s bicentennial, the program proved so popular that Peoria County extended it through July 4, 2026 to coincide with America 250 — turning a one-time celebration into a year-plus cultural tourism driver. Participants earn digital badges as they visit each bison, with monthly prize drawings from Wildlife Prairie Park keeping engagement high across multiple seasons.
The result is a free, family-friendly trail that pulls locals into neighborhoods they’d never otherwise visit, supports the small businesses sponsoring each sculpture, and gives the county verified visitor data they can carry into future bicentennial and America 250 programming.

FAQ
An Art Trail Pass is a digital, mobile-first experience that lets visitors discover every sculpture, mural, and installation on your trail in one place, learn about the artists behind each piece, check in as they explore, and earn rewards for completing the journey. It replaces the printed map and dedicated app — no download required.
Apps require downloads, app store approvals, and ongoing maintenance — a major barrier for visitors who stumble onto a sculpture and want info right now. A Seeker XP Art Trail Pass works in any mobile browser. Visitors scan the QR code on the plaque or tap a link and they’re in. That removes the single biggest source of drop-off in public art programs.
No. The Art Trail Pass works entirely in the mobile browser. Visitors can save it to their home screen for quick access during a long trek, but no app store install is ever required.
Several flexible options: geolocation (the visitor’s phone confirms they’re at the piece), QR code scan (printed on the plaque or sponsor signage), manual code, or photo upload — perfect for selfies with a sculpture. Most art trails use a mix of methods to fit different installation environments.
Yes. Every piece can include the artist’s bio, photos of the work in progress, the inspiration behind the design, sponsor credit, and links to the artist’s website or socials. The pass is your container for everything that won’t fit on the plaque itself.
Most organizations launch their pass in under two weeks using Seeker XP’s no-code Experience Builder. Our customer success team supports you through onboarding, content setup, and launch — including help structuring artist profiles, badges, and neighborhood clusters.
Yes. Art trails grow. New sculptures, murals, or themed sub-trails (e.g. a mural festival edition, a new artist series, a holiday installation) can be added at any time — your audience and badges carry forward across expansions.
You see real-time sign-ups, total check-ins, top-visited pieces, completion rates, visitor email addresses (opted-in), demographic data where collected, and aggregate engagement metrics. After the program, you get an exportable wrap-up report ready for board meetings, grant reports, and sponsor recaps.
Seeker XP offers flexible pricing tiers based on the size of your trail and the number of pieces/campaigns you run. We work with arts councils, public art commissions, BIDs, museums, and city tourism offices of all sizes. Book a demo for a tailored quote.
